Getting Ready For A Competition
In high school Venus was on the cross country & track team, swim team and the only girl on the tackle football team. She won 1st place at the Louisiana State Power Lifting Championship, breaking all the state records with her lifts in the bench press, dead lift and squat, ranking her in the top 5 in the nation. Later placing 1st place at the Arkansas State Power Lifting Championships, she set the state record in her weight class while winning the outstanding women’s lifter award.
