Playboy’s Hardbodies
Imagine a world if you will without the internet .. scary, very scary! Playboy came out with a couple of pictorial magazines featuring fitness girls back in the mid to late 90′s that was the first introduction for a lot of people to the world of buff girls before the advent of the home computer. The girls were a bit softer and rounder back in those days compared to now, but they did indeed break new ground for the genre. Amazon Empire
Amazon Empire was a graphic book that came out about in 2005 from Gallery Girls Collection that showcased some of the better artist of the sword and fantasy muscle girl genre. The byline: Weaker sex? Wishful thinking! This book portrays a pantheon of powerful female warriors, as illustrated by an international collection of artists. It also features art by Michael Bair, Glenn Barr, Jim Callahan, Jose Casanovas, DeMiguel, Jackson Guice, J.L. Marin, Esteban Maroto, Kevin Rasel, Sanjulian, Jeff Watts, and many others.
